Peer Review Process
AIRA Journal Peer Review Process
AIRA is committed to maintaining high standards of quality and scientific integrity in every publication. Therefore, all submitted manuscripts will go through a rigorous, anonymous, and independent peer review process. We implement a “Double-Blind Peer Review” system, which means that neither the identity of the authors nor the reviewers will be known to each other during the evaluation process.
Stages of the Peer Review Process:
-
Manuscript Submission:
- Authors submit the manuscript through AIRA\'s online submission system, ensuring that all journal requirements (format, ethics, originality) have been met.
-
Editorial Initial Check:
- The Chief Editor or Field Editor will conduct an initial check to ensure that the manuscript fits the scope of AIRA, meets the ethical standards of publication, and is properly formatted.
- Manuscripts that do not meet these basic criteria may be rejected immediately without peer review.
-
Reviewer Assignment:
- If the manuscript passes the initial screening, the Editor will assign a minimum of two (2) independent reviewers who are experts in fields relevant to the topic of the manuscript. These reviewers are selected based on their expertise, publication track record, and have no conflict of interest.
-
Review Process:
- The reviewers will comprehensively evaluate the manuscript based on criteria such as:
- Originality and Contribution: The extent to which the manuscript provides new knowledge or fresh insights.
- Significance: The relevance and potential impact of the research.
- Methodology: The strength and appropriateness of the research methods used.
- Results and Discussion: Clarity of presentation of results, analysis, and interpretation.
- Structure and Language: Manuscript organization, coherence, and clarity of writing.
- Sufficiency of References: Use of relevant and up-to-date literature.
- Reviewers provide recommendations to the Editor: Accepted, Major Revision, Minor Revision, or Rejected.
- The reviewers will comprehensively evaluate the manuscript based on criteria such as:
-
Editorial Decision:
- Based on the reviewers\' report, the Editor will make the final decision. Authors will be notified of this decision along with anonymous reviewer feedback.
- Accepted: The manuscript is ready for publication.
- Major Revisions: The manuscript requires significant changes and will be resubmitted for review.
- Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor changes and generally does not require a full re-review.
- Rejected: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in AIRA.
-
Author Revisions:
- If the manuscript requires revision, authors are expected to resubmit the revised manuscript along with a response to reviewer letter explaining how each reviewer\'s feedback has been addressed.
-
Final Acceptance & Publication:
- Once all revisions have been accepted and the Editor is satisfied, the manuscript will be finally accepted and go into production (layout, proofreading) before being published in the next issue of AIRA.
AIRA upholds objectivity, fairness, and confidentiality during the entire peer review process. We thank the reviewers for their time and dedication in maintaining the scientific quality of this journal.
